When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. When you save properties, we store the listing data, your price guesses, and any notes or photos you add.
Your data is used solely to provide the Sold Price service — tracking your property watchlist, recording your guesses, and calculating your accuracy stats.
When you submit a price guess for a property, your guess contributes to aggregate community statistics that are visible to other authenticated users. While a property is still for sale, only relative positioning data (not your specific dollar amount) is shown to other users as a “sentiment curve.” Your specific guess amount is revealed only after the property sells, alongside the actual sale price.
We may create anonymised, aggregated datasets from community guesses and price sentiment data. These datasets contain no personally identifiable information and may be shared with or licensed to third parties — including real estate professionals, market researchers, and data analytics firms — for purposes such as market sentiment analysis, property valuation research, and real estate market insights.
We will never sell or share your personal information (email address, name, or individual guess history linked to your identity) with third parties without your explicit consent.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access and correct your personal information.
